How To Stop A Funny Hear Beat
not want to teach the beauty . Do not we would be able to.
We have no new theory to be presented. We would not have the tools to investigate and we would not be able to add anything new. We do not claim to make you think and leave in the company of uncomfortable questions. We only know that one day we look for beauty, we sensed, then lived and owned. And that's what we'd like to tell.
Fall 2009.
We have an idea for the thesis. Another idea. Different. Bella. There is talk of abandoned quarries. There is talk of Puglia. It was decided to leave. Romantic Travel in the ancient and intentions.
left to look for.
parties to find.
is the journey that we want to tell. That fact of miles, asphalt and the smell of gasoline, and the fact of a few feet into the ground after a rainstorm. Trajectories and meetings. Wild dogs and shepherds stateless.
Julian Day bites just picked an olive from a tree and discovers the bitter , is an unexpected taste, flavor unknown. It 'about the same unexpected flavor that we all three felt when, a few days later, we have lived and participated beauty.
Trying to discover a land unknown to us, we find ourselves in the south of Lecce.
people search. A hand
friendly, marked by time and wise caresses an area on the map, a depression, a dark, full. Alone among the usual earth tones. We gain that space, we cut. Just as the old shepherd once did.
We are surrounded by olive groves as far as the eye can see. Even if outsiders perceive a system in equilibrium geometry, we hear it run silently in the warm air of an afternoon that almost coming to an end. It could be perfection, olives and enough real work done.
Distracted, stumble in what we understood only later to be our goal. Person who joins the end and beginning of our journey. A tuff quarry once underground, hidden, white. Today, the colored part of the surface covering has been raised. The walls carved, cut, have finally been able to touch the sky and be free. Walls that are materialized in the light, ever-changing natural cathedral. Places that were only imagined, glimpsed from faint glow, can be touched, felt and appreciated in their smooth roughness. The light we
rolls, stumbles, falls in vibrant shades and shadows. The volume of the sacred and blessed the material that built the space nice day: residual and reserve together.
The beauty?
We believe we have learned in those moments. Our beauty is not Vitruvian memory. It is a woman dressed in mourning of the South that is expressed in an Italian peppered with colorful expressions and slang effective. It is unexpected in the bitter olive. It is the night of Marshes and violence of the picks in the tuff. Our beauty is in the sincerity of a tool shed in the lime and eaten by the sun.

New review for The Witch UPUI!
with great pleasure (and a little late!) out a nice review that appeared on the popular site neopagan
UPUI - The Art of Witch
I bought this book drawn from two curators, Sarah Bernini and Andrea Armed and my confidence has been amply rewarded.
I found it to be transported to the magical dream world of an artist incredibly visionary and steadfast in its certainties, capable of making real, everyday experiences that many are either a goal or to reach a kind of self-delusion.
NEAC is not a simple book, easy to fit, we can safely say that is not a traditional art book, but it is full of references and images of the works of Nicholas Mulè it is not a traditional biography, but tells the history and evolution of the artist until his rebirth in the Witch Upui it is not a treatise on Magic, but it opens the door to better understand the magic that surrounds us.
So what?
I call it a 'symbolic journey experience, mainly because the structure of the book set by Sarah and Andrew, the first guides us to knowledge of the artist as a human being, then moved to his past life until we have a complete picture of the person behind Upui the Witch, and only after giving us all this wealth of information "biography" let us begin to analyze the symbols in his works that, while coming in what we might call "a classic symbols" are present in such quantities and a such a variety of lines to be innovative and original.
The difficulty for those who are about to read this book is to be able to accept the experiences of the artist for "faith" in fact all his art is based on his dream experiences, its affinity with the spirits and its feminine sensibility.
These same experiences we open up a world full of symbols, detached from what which is considered "normal" by most people, but that gives us an insight on the soul of an artist truly innovative.
The book continues by presenting a series of appendices bets not only on his work, but mainly on the soul and the motivations that lie behind his designs.
The only thing I, personally, I found it difficult to use are the notes, rather than footnotes, are collected in a separate chapter, making it a little cumbersome to use. However
praise and honor to those who have taken the trouble to bring order to a dream world so complex ... Thank you very

Lib (e) ro BOOK: new review for Upui!
Review new brand for the book the Witch Upui that seems to stop to impress and spend approval for its 300 pages fully illustrated with diagrams and magical alphabets ceremonial. This time it's Katie
Ciarrocchi to deal with the preparation of on-line Lib (e) ro Paper.
A choice we hope that new reviewers and other readers will follow once more.
Mulè Who is Nicholas?
"It 's one of the most respected artists in the panorama of Italian neo-pagan (...) Those who attend the setting of witchcraft know him primarily for his designs for the style that emanates from the talisman, the libraries, the box drawn with the tip of the charcoal "
Upui Who's the Witch?
Explaining who the witch Upui is impossible without having access to that path that led to a painter of holy icons devoted to the Church at the court of the Goddess. (...) What drove a young Catholic member of the best known anti-cult center Italian, Gris, to pass in a few years on the side of "interrogators" to that of the witches? "
The book revolves around the questions raised by Andrea armed, "about a man who as recently as 1996 was about to become a priest."
I got to enjoy Armed Andrea - one of the authors of Upui. The art of the witch. The work of Nicholas Mulè - long time ago, thanks to his essay on San Francisco "The Wizard of Assisi. Denied the face of St. Francis, founder of the publishing house Editions esoteric Eleusis. I do not know the other two authors, but Upui. The art of the witch. The work of Nicholas Mulè I immediately appreciated the perfect symbiosis.
Mulè shows no qualms about his spiritual journey, since child turns his interest towards all religions, making deep mystical experiences: "You think ... you can find the answers you are looking in the word of the Gospel. " The reality we know, especially in the Gris is the same as the move away from the priesthood. Written and designed by the same author will retrace the route of Mulè far to find his true home, ".... Penetrates more and more to the 'old religion' until he was in a dream ... Gualina Stabiosa is a witch lived in the middle of the '400 and died in Italy, as had died in the history of the women victims of the Inquisition in Triora because of a famine that decimated the population, had shouted to the men and women of the country 'black magic'. " A book that does not
want to teach anything, just giving voice and witness to the experience of a deep personal search in which many might find the answers to some questions.
A book about witchcraft: "The author uses the term 'witchcraft' as Gualina learned this word from Monaco who taught esoterically the girl and she accepted it because until that moment had never felt the need to define what he felt ... (...) For 'Witchcraft' is the practice of secret relate to spirits rather than the Christian God ... ", a narrative that in some ways seems so fictional it's great, in fact the same authors preliminary matter that there are no documents that can testify if the perceptions of mule "belong to the fence of history" or are just a figment of imagination "clearly out of line," but what the book gives the reader very curious and fascinated by the three drafts of Gualina life - from the Mule - that Bernini has edited and summarized with great skill.
Beautiful binding, dall'impaginazione images (drawings Upui that add significant value to the words), the setting of the activities of armed men with Bernini report notes that the "boards" of Mule and the explanation of the symbolism that Upui itself created and rediscovered over time.

Witch Upui: new review on Magic Mirror!
This month, the authoritative website of Magic Mirror, which for years focuses on the fascinating world of esoteric, devotes a book review of Witch Upui. We publish below are proud to have dragged in reading too demanding reviews of the Mirror!
This book is the work of Nicholas Mulè, an artist well known and appreciated in view of Italian neo-pagan, author of illustrations for magazines are very popular, as Athame. The text is edited, introduced and followed by Andrea Armed, writer and editor, and Sarah Bernini, painter and photographer, who will lead us and help us to fully comprehend the thought. We follow
, including novels and essays, the author of human life, from his experience in the Catholic Church as an aspirant to the priesthood and the GRIS (which deals with seven), up to an encounter with Gualina Stabiosa-discovery and "Na Upui "The witch and the demon countryside. Nicholas decides to give voice to Gualina (himself in a woman's body), who died at the stake in 1530, and the demon who for years without knowing this name. It tells the life which, though lacking the documentary evidence, it is possible and likely, is the story of a girl running through the woods and learn about herbs and the rhythms of nature. But for the ignorant and superstitious peasants, knowledge of Gualina can not get from others by the devil. At the "witch", deprived of all his family, his possessions and any security, you just have to escape and, perhaps, revenge.
The art of witch can be seen as the biography of a Magiste, a story of reincarnation poised between a past and a present to remember to be redesigned, a manual of practice witchcraft, an essay on spiritualism, the record of a spiritual experience, but it would be simplistic to try capturing them, because is all this, it is also much more. Without claiming to be a book that teaches something, it ends up being a reference text for all those, and they are many who would like to approach the modern witchcraft, but do not know where to begin, nor are sure to follow a right path for them, or have visions, or sensations that can not interpret. The personal experiences described by Upui, who bravely chose to reveal himself in all sincerity, is based on an "instinctive tradition": in practice, the author did not follow any pre-established tradition, which would be the easiest and faster, but only his inner guidance. The result was a "visual Grimoire" absolutely unique, not comparable to other works, to look at, discover, analyze, full of drawings, symbols, magical alphabets, images, allegories, ideas, insights, suggestions and reflections.
We give you a hint: this is not a handbook for dummies, so do not let it scare you at first sight. There are three hundred pages and not one that has no trace of the artist's drawings, to make a book for the sumptuous visual impact and the density of content, so that should be sipped and pondered, rather than read . Then re-read and, perhaps, if you dare even put it into practice.
